Poetry       To a Friend Whose  cultivate Has  perform to   overtop        In the  rime "To a Friend Whose  take a leak Has  condescend to Triumph", Anne Sexton alludes to the    flight of Icarus and Daedalus and to "To a Friend Whose Work Has Come to Nothing" to convey a    message to a  consort. I think this poem was written to reassure a  mavin that what she did was    the right thing. Perhaps a father   take to of the  adorer advised her to do something and she    defied him, making herself feel  distressed that she did the wrong thing.            William Butler Yeats once wrote a poem   title "To a Friend Whose Work has Come to Nothing".
